Angelina Jolie Biography

Angelina Jolie is the daughter of Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight, and former actress/model Marcheline Bertrand. Jon Voight separated from Bertrand when Jolie was 1, remained in California while the family lived on the East coast. ''He was the perfect example of an artist who couldn't be married,'' she says. ''He had the perfect family, but there's something for him that's very scary about that.'' Jolie, is her middle name. Ultimately, she decided to use it because, she says, ''I love my father, but I'm not him''.
Angelina began training and performing at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute at around 12. She was seen in several stage productions at the Institute. She worked as a professional model in London, New York and Los Angeles, and has also appeared in music videos for such artists as the Rolling Stones, Meat Loaf, Lenny Kravitz, Antonello Venditti and The Lemonheads. In addition, she has acted in five student films for the USC School of Cinema, all directed by her brother, James Haven. She landed her first feature film starring part in HACKERS, about a group of high school computer hackers. Previously, she had roles in independent features Gathering Evidence and Oh No, Not Her.Angelina was married to her co-star from Hackers, Jonny Lee Miller. The marriage took place in May of 1996 where she wore black rubber clothes (although they are now divorced). She has a extensive dagger collection (likes knives) and has several tattoos (one is the Japanese word for death on her shoulder). Today Angelina splits her time between New York and Los Angeles.

Angelina Jolie’s teenage life was not as happy as her childhood and her wild experiences during this stage contributed much to her success as an actress today. Enrolled at Beverly High School, she continued her training and auditioned for modeling jobs that she never got. Feeling unworthy and ugly with her big eyes and big lips, she started to hate herself. Her confidence as a child got affected by her emotional, social and financial problems.

At 14, she was already living-in with her boyfriend who influenced her in using S&M. After 2 years of theater training, Angelina Jolie dropped from her classes. A scar that is still present today along Angelina Jolie’s jaw line serves as witness to the troubles she had as a teenager.

At 16, things slowly went back to normal. Angelina Jolie got separated from her punk boyfriend. And she enrolled again for acting classes and workshop. At one point in the life of Angelina Jolie, she attended writing classes and studied filmmaking at New York University. Her physical features getting better, she finally got modeling jobs at New York, London and Los Angeles. Her acting career started to shape-up in 1993 when she got the lead role as a near-human robot in Cyborg2. Then, film-after-film, Angelina Joliestarted to shine as a star and finally become a serious actress. The biopics George Wallace and Gia earned her 1 Golden Globe award and 1 Emy nomination for each film. The following are the films credited to her name: Beowulf (2007), The Good Shepherd (2006), Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), Alexander (2004), Shark Tale (voice) (2004), Taking Lives (2004), Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow (2004), Beyond Borders (2003), Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003), Life Or Something Like It (2002), Original Sin (2001), Tomb Raider (2001), Gone In 60 Seconds (2000), The Bone Collector (1999), Girl, Interrupted (1999).

Angelina Jolie’s next publicized relationship was with her first husband Johnny Lee Miller whom she met while filming the movie Hackers. They got divorced because ofAngelina Jolie’s frequent emotional breakdowns. Her openness in discussing sexual acts became the talk of the media. And the media’s interest was fueled more when she admitted having relationship with Jenny Shimizu, a fellow actress. She then met her second husband, Billy Bob Thornton whom she also divorced.

Her involvement with the plight of less fortunate people opened new experiences for her. She adopted Maddox, a Cambodian in 2001 and donated #5 million to Cambodia’s wildlife sanctuary. Angelina Jolie then became a Good Will Ambassador for the United Nations. She then adopted Zaharah Marley, an Ethiopian girl.

In 2006, her relationship with Brad Pitt was opened to the public and she finally became a mother to their baby, Shiloh Nouvel. As part of their humanitarian duties, they sold the rights to the pictures of Shiloh Nouvel and donated the proceeds
In the 1990s, Angelina Jolie became a popular actress. She gave a star-making performance in the 1998 television film Gia based on the short, tragic life of model Gia Marie Carangi, which won her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Another great dramatic role in Girl, Interrrupted (1999) brought Jolie her first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has continued to take on a variety of interesting roles, such as an adventurer in the Lara Croft films, a FBI profiler in Taking Lives (2004), an assassin in Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), and a neglected, troubled socialite wife in The Good Shepherd (2006).
A devoted humanitarian, Angelina Jolie was made a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency in 2001. She has made headlines for her work to obtain aid for refugees in Cambodia, Darfur and Jordan, to name just a few. In 2005, Jolie received the Global Humanitarian Action Award from the United Nations Association of the USA for her activism on behalf of refugee rights. She continues to travel the world to drawing attention to global issues.

Famous for her off-screen romances, Angelina Jolie has been married twice. She married Hackers co-star Jonny Lee Miller in 1995. The couple divorced in 1999. The next year Jolie married Academy Award-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton. That union lasted until 2003.

In 2002, Angelina Jolie adopted a son from Cambodia and named him Maddox. Three years later, she adopted a daughter, Zahara, and later in 2005, actor Brad Pitt filed paperwork to adopt both of Jolie’s children. Jolie and Pitt met during the making of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. The couple’s first biological daughter, Shiloh, was born in the African country of Namibia in 2006. Jolie, Pitt, and their children had traveled there to avoid the media frenzy that seemed to follow them wherever they went. After the joy of welcoming her third child to the world came great sadness for Jolie. She experienced a great personal loss in the beginning of 2007—her mother died of cancer after fighting the disease for many years.

In March 2007, Angelina Jolie added a new member to her family. She adopted a three-year-old boy from a Vietnamese orphanage. Her son is named Pax Thien Jolie. ( Source : http://www.muskurahat.us)

Shakira Biography

"This album represents exactly the way I am—my state of mind today, as an artist and as a woman," says Shakira. "Some of the songs remind me of my beginnings, so it’s kind of like going back to where everything started, but from a new perspective, with the way I see things now." On her ninth album, Sale El Sol/The Sun Comes Out, one of the few truly global superstars of our time continues her creative journey by looking both forward and back. The disc comes on the heels of Shakira's worldwide smash "Waka Waka," the theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which turned into a global phenomenon. It's also the next chapter after 2009's critically-acclaimed, dance-oriented She Wolf, which was the long-awaited follow-up to 2005's groundbreaking one-two punch comprised of Fijacion Oral, Volume 1 and Oral Fixation, Volume 2—a pair of albums which combined to sell over 12 million copies worldwide and secured the young Colombian-born singer's place among pop music royalty.

Sale El Sol
marks a return to the eclectic approach that defined Shakira's music and established her unique sound and style. "This album has three directions," she explains. "There's the romantic direction, which I hadn’t tapped into for the past three years, but it suddenly came to me and I couldn’t hold it back. So it’s got songs that are very intense, very romantic. Then there are songs that are very rock and roll. I started my career as a rock artist and then I kind of crossed over into pop, so it’s been fun to re-encounter that side of my artistic personality".

"And then there’s the Latino, tropical side of the album," she continues. "I grew up listening to
merengue—that was a big part of my life, and I was missing it. I went to the Dominican Republic, the source of merengue, and I started working with El Cata and producing songs like 'Loca' and 'Rabiosa' in this tiny studio in the middle of nowhere. It wasn’t planned, I was just following my instincts. So this album is very genuine, and very personal as well."

A similar spontaneity led to the video for
Shakira's new single “Loca,” which features UK star Dizzee Rascal and Dominican artist El Cata (on the English and Spanish versions, respectively). At the last minute, she scrapped plans for a studio shoot and took to the streets of Barcelona with a handheld camera. "Thespirit of song is all about freedom, being yourself and not holding back," she says.

This sense of artistic exploration is no surprise coming from a woman who began writing songs at the age of eight; learned to speak English by studying the work of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Walt Whitman; and took history classes at UCLA during her break between albums. The compassionate side of Shakira is most obvious in the remarkable work of her Pies Descalzos (Barefoot) Foundation, which she started at the age of 18 and has now opened its sixth school. The foundation currently provides education and nutrition to over six thousand impoverished children in Colombia and is expanding its work to other countries, including newly launched projects in Haiti and South Africa.

"We shouldn’t think of this as charity” she has said. “Every child has talent to be developed and the potential to become a productive member of society. Education is a powerful tool to unlock those talents—and to break the cycle of poverty that too often traps them.” Shakira has also become a leading advocate for universal education, speaking to world leaders on the topic and advocating policy change to governments around the world.

Over the course of her career, Grammy winner Shakira has sold close to sixty million albums. Her collaborations with such stars as Beyonce and Alejandro Sanz have helped keep her audience expanding continually. She is the only artist from South America to have a Number One song in the US, and her performance was a highlight of the 2009 concert celebrating President Obama's inauguration. She has four of the twenty top-selling hits of the decade, more than any other artist—including 2006's unforgettable "Hips Don't Lie," the biggest-selling single of the 21
st Century, which reached the Number One spot in an astonishing 55 countries.

Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),
along with its Spanish language version, "Waka Waka (Esto es África)," was yet another worldwide sensation. It sold over two million singles, making it the biggest World Cup song ever released. The official video has seen over 200 million YouTube hits, making it the Number Four most watched video of all time and the Number Three most watched music video. Including unofficial "Waka Waka" videos, the total cumulative views are over 400 million. The track was also the soundtrack to Shakira's 1Goal campaign for universal education.

The response to the song revitalized Shakira, and inspired both the direction of
Sale El Sol and the plans for her recently launched world tour. "When I flew to South Africa, I never received so many hugs and kisses," she says. "In the airport, all the immigration officers were dancing the 'Waka Waka' dance! I was already missing the contact with fans, and that showed me the path so I could finish the album with all my energy and joy."

For Shakira, the title of the new album provides the key to her current outlook. "I was a little bit down at the end of last year, but as soon as this year started, the sun started shining for me," she says. "I find myself smiling more often, I feel more free and liberated.

"You go through difficult moments, everybody does, but there’s always the sun inside of us that never extinguishes, and it has come out for me. And, hopefully, it will be a long day in the sun."                                      ( source :

Avril Lavigne Biography

When singer, songwriter, and musician Avril Lavigne first burst upon the music scene at age 17, she was known as a young, pop-punk tomboy who refused to resort to skin-baring come-ons, preferring to entice the record-buying public with her powerhouse voice, high-spirited melodies, and straight-talking lyrics. Staying steadfastly true to herself and putting music before image paid off both critically and commercially for the Canadian-born artist. In 2002, Lavigne shot to global pop stardom with the 6x-platinum Let Go, followed by 2004’s 3x-platinum Under My Skin, and 2007’s platinum The Best Damn Thing. Over the course of her three albums, Lavigne scored a string of international hit singles: “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” “I’m With You,” “Losing Grip,” “Don’t Tell Me,” “My Happy Ending,” “Nobody’s Home,” “Keep Holding On,” “Girlfriend,” “When You’re Gone,” “Hot,” and “The Best Damn Thing.” She earned eight Grammy Award nominations, won seven Canadian Juno Awards, and sold more than 30 million albums and nearly 20 million tracks worldwide over the past eight years.
Lavigne also launched a second career as an entrepreneur by creating a well-received fashion and lifestyle brand (Abbey Dawn), two fragrances (Black Star and Forbidden Rose), branched out into film work (Over the Hedge, Fast Food Nation), and further committed herself to the philanthropic activities she’s participated in over the years by establishing The Avril Lavigne Foundation, which works in partnership with leading charitable organizations to design and deliver programs, raise awareness, and mobilize support for children and youth living with serious illnesses or disabilities.
With her multiple creative endeavors and impressive musical success, it’s worth pointing out that Avril Lavigne is all of 26. She may be young by veteran performer standards, but she has evolved as a person and as an artist since releasing The Best Damn Thing. Lavigne brings the maturity and insight she’s gained from her experiences to her next labor of love, her fourth album, Goodbye Lullaby, which will be released by RCA Records in March 2011.
“I pushed myself and didn’t hold back,” Lavigne says of Goodbye Lullaby for which she wrote or co-wrote every song, and wrote and produced two — “4 Real” and “Goodbye” — entirely on her own. “I allowed myself to be vulnerable. I think it’s during the real moments that people can relate the most. Those who have heard the album have had very strong emotional reactions to the songs, so I realized that when something is so real, it will probably touch somebody. The beauty of music is that it’s open to interpretation.”
Written at various stages over the past few years, Goodbye Lullaby is filled with appealingly relatable, heartfelt songs that convey a variety of emotions and reflect a bittersweet mood not generally associated with Lavigne’s best-known tunes. Except for the anthemic first single, the irresistibly feisty “What The Hell” and “Smile,” which create a perfect bridge from her previous work, the remainder of Goodbye Lullaby finds Lavigne exploring what it means to push through the tough times and emerge stronger for it — a theme apparent on songs like “Everybody Hurts,” “Push,” “Remember When,” and “Wish You Were Here.”
“Overall, the album is about how we all go through difficult experiences, whether it’s ending a relationship, losing a job, or just missing someone,” Lavigne says. “We get through it and we grow.” Nowhere is this feeling better expressed than on “Goodbye,” a delicate piano-and-string ballad that closes out the album. “’Goodbye’ is the most raw and vulnerable track I’ve ever written and recorded in my career,” Lavigne says. “It’s a very special song because I wrote and produced it myself. It’s so real and truthful. You can’t fake that.”
Goodbye Lullaby’s intensity is balanced out by its instrumentation: bright, rich textures of acoustic guitar and piano, as well as an orchestra on “Darlin’,” “Remember When,” and “Goodbye.” Through it all, from the upbeat pop tracks to the mellower ballads, Lavigne’s voice is front and center, summoning up and soaring easily through the emotion that her lyrics require.
“This album is all about me being a singer, a songwriter, and a musician,” Lavigne says. “Typically the lead vocal gets buried in the track and you can’t always hear the quality, character, or emotion after a certain point. I wanted my voice to be the main instrument. It forced me to really throw myself out there. I still love rocking out, but I wanted this record to show a different side. That’s why I produced some of the songs myself, which I never thought I’d do.”
For the rest of the album’s tracks, Lavigne turned to her longtime friends and collaborators Evan Taubenfeld and Butch Walker, as well as Max Martin. Another important influence was Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, who lends his production skills to several tracks, including “Darlin’,” — a song Lavigne wrote at the age of 14. “Whenever I hear ‘Darlin,’ I think of the family room I wrote it in and playing it for my mom,” she says. “So it’s really special for me to have it on the album.”
A small-town girl from Napanee, Ontario, Lavigne had already been writing, singing, and performing for a few years before releasing her breakthrough album, Let Go, which featured the smash singles “Complicated” and “Sk8r Boi” and sold more than 16 million units worldwide. Her second album, 2004’s Under My Skin, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200, and sold more than eight million copies worldwide fueled by the hit singles “Don’t Tell Me” and “My Happy Ending.” Four years later came The Best Damn Thing, which featured the No. 1 single “Girlfriend.” Lavigne’s biggest record to date, “Girlfriend” was the top digital track of 2007, selling more than 7.3 million downloads in eight languages. The Best Damn Thing included the epic ballad “Keep Holding On,” which Lavigne wrote at the request of 20th Century Fox for the studio’s fantasy/adventure film Eragon. Lavigne’s songs have also graced the soundtracks of such feature films as Sweet Home Alabama, Bruce Almighty, Legally Blonde 2, The Princess Diaries 2, and The House Bunny.
In 2010, Lavigne wrote “Alice” for Tim Burton’s film fantasy Alice in Wonderland, which was included on the compilation album Almost Alice, released in March. The video for “Alice,” directed by David Meyers, depicts Lavigne’s own adventure down the rabbit hole. She also brought her fashion brand into the mix, designing “Alice in Wonderland” pieces for Abbey Dawn that were sold in stores in connection with the film’s release.
It’s been a whirlwind journey for Lavigne, who says the thing she’s looking forward to most about releasing Goodbye Lullaby is getting the opportunity to hit the road and perform for her fans around the world. “My fans are hardcore,” Lavigne says. “They are very dedicated and really supportive — the kind of fans who stick around. It’s been an amazing experience meeting them after shows and reading their letters, because the things they’ll say to me are very special. People have come up and started crying, saying, ‘You have no idea what your music has done for me.’” That’s all I need to hear. If I can give even one person strength through my music, that’s pretty frickin’ special.” (source : www.avrillavigne.com)

PARIS HILTON BIOGRAPHY

PHOTO: Paris Hilton
The daughter of Richard Hilton and the actress Kathy Richards, Paris Whitney is the oldest of four children. Together with her three siblings, Nicky, Barron Hilton II and Conrad Hilton III, she is heir to the considerable Hilton fortune which has been built on a successful real estate and hotel business.
Acting is in Paris’s blood. Not only is her mother an actress, she is also the niece of two popular child stars of the 1970s, Kim Richards and Kyle Richards, who featured in the movie, Escape to Witch Mountain and TV shows as Little House On The Prairie and ER. Paris is also related to the famous Hungarian actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, who was married to Paris’s great grandfather, Conrad Hilton. She is also distantly related to the famous movie star Elizabeth Taylor, who was briefly married to Paris Hilton’s great uncle, Conrad Nicholson Hilton Jr.
Paris was born with the proverbial “silver spoon in her mouth”, and spent her childhood moving between five-star luxury homes. These included a suite at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, New York, as well as mansions in exclusive Beverly Hills and the Hamptons. At present, she lives in a $10 million house in the Hollywood Hills which she shares with her sister. Paris attended her freshman year of high school at the Marywood-Palm Valley School in California, before continuing her studies at the Dwight School in New York.

Paris Hilton is no stranger to the limelight, and has been in the public eye since childhood. She began modeling as a child, initially at charitable functions. In 2000, she signed up with Donald Trump’s modeling agency, T Management. She also worked with other top agencies, including Ford Models Management in New York, and Model 1 Agency in London. She has fronted leading advertising campaigns such as Christian Dior and Tommy Hilfiger, and was soon christened “New York’s leading IT girl”.
Not content with her modeling career, Paris was anxious to make her debut in show business, with television likely to offer the best platform for her talents. In 2003, she teamed up with her long-time friend Nicole Richie to star in the 2003 Fox TV hit reality series, The Simple Life. For the purposes of the programme, the two girls tried their hand at a variety of blue-collar jobs, and started out by living with a family on their farm in rural Arkansas. The series showed the girls hanging out with the local boys, working at their manual jobs, and performing all sorts of menial everyday tasks, which were clearly at odds with their luxurious upbringing and lifestyle! The Simple Life was such a big hit that it was promptly followed by three more series, respectively subtitled: Road Trip, Interns and ‘Til Death Us Do Part.

Paris as also appeared in cameo and supporting roles in several feature films, including House Of Wax (2005), The Hillz (2004), Raising Helen (2004) and Nine Lives (2002). Paris’s small but significant role in House of Wax won the Teen Choice Award for Best Scream, as well as nominations for Choice Breakout Award - Female, and Best Frightened Performance at the MTV Movie Awards in 2006. She has also made cameo appearances in The cat in The Hat (2003), Wonderland (2003) and Win A Date With Tad Hamilton! (2004).
Paris’s rise to fame has not been without its share of controversy. In 2004, she was the co-star of One Night in Paris, an unauthorized sex video, which she made with her former boyfriend Rick Salomon. Paris even received a director’s credit on the video, but she later sued Salomon for releasing the tape for sale on the internet. The couple eventually settled out of court. According to press reports, Paris received $400,000 from the video, but claimed she had never intended it to be a commercial venture and said she thought that
Salomon should donate the proceeds to charity.
Paris has also appeared in several music videos, including Just Lose It by Eminem, It Girl by John Oates (of Hall & Oates) and Caught Up In The Rapture by Won-G with Giselle. She also has her own TV channel on YouTube, which is currently the 34th most subscribed channel of all time on the service, with over 10,000 subscriptions and 2,000,000 views.
As well as her movie and TV career, Paris has a wide range of other business interests. In 2004, she founded Heiress Records, a sub-label of Warner Bros Records. So far, the label has only released her own record, Paris, but she claims that she will be signing other artists in the future. She began work on her album in 2004, and when it was released in August 2006, it entered the charts at number six. The album features a range of genres, including hip-hop, pop and reggae, together with the work of leading producers such as Greg Wells, Kara DioGuardi and Scott Storch. Her other business ventures include publishing, fashion and even mobile gaming.
In autumn 2004, Paris released a book entitled Confessions of An Heiress: A Tongue-in-Cheek Peek behind the Pose, which she wrote in conjunction with author Merle Ginsberg. The book is lavishly illustrated with pictures of Paris, and contains a string of hints on how to live like the rich and famous. It was reported that Paris received a $100,000 advance for the book, and it soon made its way into the New York Times bestseller list despite being panned by the critics. She followed it up with a sequel, also written with Merle Ginsberg, called Your Heiress Diary: Confess It All To Me”, which encourages readers to note their goals, friends and family, boyfriends, and the celebrities they admire!

In May 2004, Paris unveiled her own brand of perfume in conjunction with Parlux Fragrances. “It’s really hot…I mixed all these scents together….it smells so good,” she revealed. Naturally, the perfume was destined to be called Paris Hilton. The perfume was so successful that the manufacturers decided to follow it up with a second Paris Hilton fragrance, called Just Me. A men’s fragrance, Heir by Paris Hilton has also been launched by Parlux.
Paris has also tried her hand at fashion, and helped design a collection of handbags for the Samantha Thavasa label in Tokyo. She has also helped launch a line of jewelry called The Paris Hilton Collection on Amazon.com. This was soon followed by a collection of watches, launched in November 2005 at the Tourneau store in New York. The 18-carat white gold and diamond-encrusted watches start at a mere $100,000.
Also in 2005, Paris launched her own chain of night-clubs, known as Club Paris. The first nightclub was opened in Orlando, Florida and has proved to be a great success. A second club was opened in Jacksonville, Florida and Paris is hoping to open further clubs in Las Vegas, New York City, Los Angeles, Miami and Cancun, Mexico.
Despite her flourishing media and business career, Paris’s personal life has been marked by controversy and scandal. In autumn 2006, she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, although Paris claimed that she had only had one cocktail to drink, and that the high level of alcohol in her blood was due to the fact that she had not eaten all day. She is also reported to have told the arresting officers that she was speeding to get to a local burger restaurant so that she could eat! She was back in court a few months later, when the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office claimed that she had violated the terms of her probation by driving on a suspended license.

On May 4, 2007 Hilton was sentenced by Judge Michael T. Sauer to 45 days in jail for violating her probation. On June 3, 2007, after attending the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, Hilton reported to the Men's Central Jail of the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles. From there, she was transferred by authorities to a special section "reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates" in Lynwood.
Three days later, LA County Sheriff Lee Baca signed orders reassigning Hilton to 40 days of home confinement with an electronic monitoring device due to an unspecified medical condition. However, the same day Hilton was released from jail, Judge Sauer ordered her to reappear back in his court the following morning (June 8) as the sentencing statement had explicitly said she would serve time in jail with "No work furlough. No work release. No electronic monitoring".
"It's not right!"
- Hilton's reaction after being sent back to jail.

At the hearing he declined to be briefed by Hilton's lawyer in private chambers on the nature of her condition and sent her back to jail to serve out her original 45-day sentence. Upon hearing the sentence, Hilton shouted, "It's not right!" and started screaming requesting to hug her mother. She was later moved to the medical wing of the Twin Towers Correctional Facility.
The socialite was finally released from jail on June 26, 2007. In total Hilton had served 22 days in detention, counting her day-long home confinement. She later described her experience as traumatic and pledged to cut down on her 'superficial' life of partying and use her fame to create a halfway house for her fellow inmates.
Paris Hilton has had quite a few ups and downs in her love-life too. She has been linked romantically with several high-profile men, including male fashion model Jason Shaw, to whom she was briefly engaged in 2002. In May 2005, she announced her engagement to Paris Latsis, the heir to a Greek shipping fortune. They split soon after and she began dating Stavros Niarchos III, who was also the heir to a Greek shipping dynasty. In July 2006, Hilton announced in the world’s press that she was going to remain celibate for one full year! “Every time I have a boyfriend, I’m just so romantic, and I put all my energy into the guy”, she told reporters. Inevitably she was snapped by the Hollywood paparazzi kissing Brandon Davis a short while later.

Paris endured her most famous public bust-up with longtime friend and TV co-star, Nicole Richie. In April 2005, amid media reports that their friendship was in trouble, Paris released a statement saying, “It‘s no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends.” But the reasons for the bust-up remained unclear. In 2006, Paris told a reporter that she and Nicole “grew apart because of fame” and added, “It’s hard to be friends with someone who doesn’t want good things for you.” Rumours abounded that Paris was jealous of Nicole’s rising fame; others speculated that a quarrel over a boyfriend was to blame.

However reconciliation was on the cards following an amusing incident in the summer of 2006 as escorts at a function tried their utmost to prevent the two stars from seeing each other, even though they were both taking part in the same public event. In October 2006, the two friends finally resolved their differences, and became good friends again.
In OK! Magazine in March 2007, Nicole Richie said, “Finally Paris and I crossed paths. The escorts were really trying to make it so we didn’t see each other. It was ridiculous. When we ended up talking again, we recapped that night and laughed.” (source : http://www.thebiographychannel.co.uk)

Her dad, Billy Ray, was chosen to play her widowed father in the TV series, and the entire Cyrus family moved from Nashville, Tennessee to southern California to encourage Miley's career. The show was a hit during its long run from 2006 to 2011. The instant success of her television series led to a record deal for Cyrus, whose husky singing voice was often featured in the show. In October of 2006 the soundtrack to Hannah Montana, featuring eight songs by Miley and a duet with her father, debuted at number one on Billboard's Top 200 chart. The album Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus was released in 2007, and Cyrus toured the country in a successful Hannah Montana concert series. The 2008 film Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour was a hit, and Hannah Montana: The Movie took in $34 million on its opening weekend in 2009, proving that Cyrus was still a very popular star. Also in 2009, at age 16, she published the memoir Miles to Go.
Extra credit: Her nickname "Miley" is a shortened form of her other nickname, "Smiley Miley"... Cyrus officially changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus in January of 2008... Her half-brother Trace Cyrus is the guitarist and singer for the band Metro Station.

Justin Bieber Biography

Justin BieberJustin Bieber Fans are TOO much to handle..
An old soul is the last thing you would expect to find inside Justin Bieber. But all it takes is one listen to the 17 year-old soul-singing phenomenon to realize that he is light years ahead of his manufactured pop peers.

After posting dozens of homemade videos on YouTube in 2007, where the multi-talented Bieber put his impeccable spin on songs from artists like Usher, Ne-Yo and Stevie Wonder, Justin racked up over 10,000,000 views purely from word of mouth.

"I started singing about three years ago," says the Canadian native who grew up an only child in Stratford, Ontario. "I entered a local singing competition called Stratford Idol. The other people in the competition had been taking singing lessons and had vocal coaches. I wasn't taking it too seriously at the time, I would just sing around the house. I was only 12 and I got second place."

In an effort to share his victory with his loved ones, Justin began posting his performance footage online. "I put my singing videos from the competition on YouTube so that my friends and family could watch them," he says. "But it turned out that other people liked them and they started subscribing to them. That's how my manager found me. He saw me on YouTube and contacted my family and now I'm signed!"

Seven months after Justin started posting his videos online, former So So Def marketing executive Scooter Braun flew the then 13-year old singer to Atlanta, GA to meet with his elite colleagues. As if Justin's natural singing talent wasn't enough to impress Scooter's inner circle, Braun knew Bieber was also a self-taught musician who plays the drums, guitar, piano and trumpet.

"Right when we flew into Atlanta, Scooter drove us to the studio and Usher was there in the parking lot," remembers Bieber. "That was my first time ever being out of Canada so I went up to him and was like, 'Hey Usher, I love your songs, do you want me to sing you one?' He was like, 'No little buddy, just come inside, it's cold out.'"

All it took was a short time online for Usher to realize he was in the company of a future superstar. "A week later Usher flew me back to Atlanta," says Bieber. "I sang for him and his people and he really wanted to sign me then and there but I still had a meeting with Justin Timberlake who also wanted to sign me. It turned out Usher's deal was way better. He had L.A. Reid backing him up and Scooter had a lot of really good connections in Atlanta. I always tease Usher now and remind him he how he blew me off the first time we met."

In October of 2008, Justin Bieber officially signed to Island Records. His debut album, My World is an intimate look into the mind of a budding young renaissance man. With production from star hit men like The Dream and Tricky Stewart who produced "Umbrella" for Rihanna and Beyonce's latest smash, "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)," Justin has everything he needs to achieve pop supremacy.

His first single, "One Time" produced by Tricky, is about one of Justin's favorite topics, puppy love. Usher joins Justin on "First Dance" where the two share verses on a song that Bieber describes as, "A slow groovy song that people can dance to." On the Midi-Mafia produced "Down to Earth" Justin digs deep to talk about growing up. "Bigger" finds the teenaged singer maturing at a steady rate, while motivating his listeners to strive for their goals.

"I'm looking forward to influencing others in a positive way," says Justin. "My message is you can do anything if you just put your mind to it. I grew up below the poverty line; I didn't have as much as other people did. I think it made me stronger as a person it built my character. Now I have a 4.0 grade point average and I want to go to college and just become a better person."

A virtually untapped well of natural artistic talent, Justin Bieber is primed to be a solid force in music for many years to come. "I think older people can appreciate my music because I really show my heart when I sing, and it's not corny," he says. "I think I can grow as an artist and my fans will grow with me." And just think, he's just getting started.
